About the role
About the Role
Are you a qualified light engine mechanic looking to transition into the marine industry? Or an experienced marine technician looking to work with the best in the business?
We are seeking a qualified Light Engine / Marine Mechanic to join our experienced team. In this role, you will be working directly with well-known, industry-leading brands, handling everything from regular service and repairs to new boat fitups and repowers.
While experience in the marine trade is highly preferred, it is not essential for the right candidate. If you have strong diagnostic skills and a passion for precision, our experienced team will support you in transitioning your skills to the marine sector.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repairs: Conduct comprehensive engine diagnostics, mechanical troubleshooting, and repairs.
Fitups & Repowers: Execute new boat and motor fitups, second-hand boat fitups, and complete boat repowers.
Electrical Work: Install and configure 12-volt wiring, marine electronics, and electrical accessories.
Maintenance: Service and repair late-model outboard motors, boats, and trailers.
Field Work: Perform duties both in our well-equipped workshop and on-site as required.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Formal trade qualifications as a Light Engine or Marine Mechanic.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience.
Attributes: A self-motivated, honest and reliable individual who is punctual and well presented.
Work Ethic: Someone who takes genuine pride in their workmanship, follows instructions carefully, and collaborates well within a team.
Licences:
Current Victorian driver's licence (Mandatory)
Boat licence (Highly preferred, willing to obtain)
Forklift licence (Highly preferred, willing to obtain)
If this sounds like the right fit for your skills and you are ready to take the next step, we would love to hear from you.
