Auto Electrician

RPC Diesel & Hydraulics is a well-established, family-owned business based in Townsville.

We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team.

This role offers a great mix of workshop and field service work, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and autonomy in their day.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining and repairing electronic systems and components 

• Perform fault finding and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues

• Manage and maintain fleet records and equipment history

• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and site requirements

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment

• Attend off-site breakdowns and field service work as required

Skills & Experience

• Australian-recognised Auto Electrical Trade qualification

• ARC Licence (Australian Refrigeration Council)

• Proven experience with auto electrical work on heavy trucks and/or machinery

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability

• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• High attention to detail, quality workmanship and time management

• Strong communication and customer interaction skills

• Basic computer skills (timesheets, job cards, POs)

• Current driver’s licence (MR/HR highly regarded)

• Forklift licence (desirable not essential)
