Auto Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team at RTE Custom Trucks in Darra, Queensland. This full-time position is crucial in maintaining and repairing the electrical systems of heavy commercial vehicles. As an integral part of our operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of our clients' fleets.

What you'll be doing

1. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses and machinery

2. Install, maintain and upgrade electrical components, wiring and systems

3. Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on electrical systems

4. Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice

5. Maintain detailed records of all work completed

6. Ensure workshop processes and procedures are followed to the highest standard

What we're looking for

1. Trade qualification in automotive electrical or equivalent

2. Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, ideally in the heavy vehicle industry

3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

4. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

6. Good communication skills to liaise with customers

7. Current driver's licence
