2nd or 3rd Apprentice in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration

We are seeking a young candidate for a new position as a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice for an apprenticeship in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration. 

Our Office is based in Thomastown, however our cliental ranges throughout Melbourne, including a large amount of work around the Northern, Western and Eastern suburbs.

About the apprenticeship:

• Excellent opportunity to learn from the best on the best in the air conditioning & the HVAC sector:

• This is a Four-year Apprenticeship working towards a Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration and upon completion you will have a professional trade qualification.

• This will involve on the job training with qualified and experienced technicians combined with formal study (3 years part-time) at an elected TAFE

• Participate in workplace and work site rotations which allows you to experience a variety of work environments including all aspects of the HVAC industry

1. During your Apprenticeship you will undertake varied duties, which may include, but not limited to: 

2. Learning how to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, test and maintain a diverse range of HVAC Central Plants, Chillers, BMS’s Air conditioning systems, commercial Refrigeration systems, mechanical ventilation systems.

3. Involved with mechanical installation of new systems and existing retrofitting plus servicing of existing systems, Learning about refrigerated systems that cool and heat water and air

4. Commissioning of systems including testing and balancing of air and water distribution.

5. Learn Good House keeping.

Requirements:

• Validated Drivers License and own transport until you are eligible to go into a company car when the time comes.

• Currently completing Year 11 or 12, or recently completed. If an interview is arranged we will require to see your grades.

• The following is a Must and have in place prior to commencement of any employment “White Card, Working with Children, Working at heights, National Police Check”

• Must enjoy working and have a positive and can do attitude.

• Physically fit and able to complete manual tasks

• At times be willing to travel to work sites when not able to be picked up from our head office.

• Able to work in a team environment. 

• Punctual and reliable.

• Knowledge and skills on computer or smart devices .

• Willingness to learn and commit to completing an apprenticeship

• Excellent communication skills and upkeep of uniform to look and act professional.

• Treated as a person not a number.
