Air-Conditioning Apprenticeship

What you’ll do -

Whilst studying a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration working with Clements Air Conditioning and Refrigeration over 48 months, as part of this role, you'll gain hands-on experience while supporting the day-to-day coordination of training, safety and compliance activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting qualified tradespeople with the installation, servicing and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Learning to install and maintain split-system and ducted air conditioning systems
• Assisting with refrigeration equipment, including cool rooms and commercial refrigeration systems
• Using hand and power tools safely and correctly
• Preparing tools, equipment and materials for daily jobs
• Following instructions and communicating effectively with tradespeople and supervisors
• Always following safe work practices and workplace procedures
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite
• Working across a variety of commercial and residential sites
• Assisting with fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance
• Carry out duties that are within the limits of apprentice skills, competence, and ability as required

• A genuine interest in completing an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration apprenticeship
• A strong willingness to learn and develop your trade skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to work as part of a team
• The ability to listen to and follow instructions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to workplace health and safety
• A practical, hands-on approach to work
• The ability to work across different environments and job sites
• Motivation to develop into a skilled and professional tradesperson

Must-haves -

• Current drivers licence (provisional or above), or close to obtaining.
• Working with Children Checks or willingness to obtain one.
• NSW National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and functional, including audiometry, spirometry and drug and alcohol screening.
• Covid Vaccination or willingness to have one.
• WHS construction industry induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain.
