About the role
As part of our kitchen team, you’ll work alongside experienced chefs and be involved in the day-to-day preparation and service of our menu.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking menu items to our recipes and standards
Completing daily food preparation and setting up for service
Working a kitchen section during service, with support and training as required
Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation and portioning
Following food safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures
Receiving and correctly storing deliveries
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient workspace
Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
Developing your kitchen skills and gradually taking on greater responsibility
Ideally, you will have some experience in a café, restaurant, pub, catering or other commercial kitchen environment. You’ll be reliable, organised and comfortable working at pace during busy services.
You’ll also:
Have a genuine interest in cooking and food
Be willing to learn and take direction
Work well as part of a team
Have good communication skills
Take pride in producing consistent, well-presented food
Be reliable and punctual
Understand basic kitchen hygiene and food safety
Be available for a mix of weekday and weekend shifts
Chef qualifications are not required, and training will be provided for the right candidate.
$60,000–$68,000 + super, depending on experience
