Hanly Dental Studio is growing, and we’re excited to welcome a new member to our team! We're currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our family-owned and operated practice on a casual basis. Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment for both our patients and team members, while delivering exceptional care and service.

About the role

This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a dynamic dental team. The role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, chairside assistance during procedures, maintaining treatment rooms according to infection control standards, preparing instruments, and ensuring dental supplies are well-stocked. Reception duties include, but not limited to, managing patient communication, scheduling appointments, processing billing, and handling banking.

The ideal candidate will be well-presented, highly organised, and possess excellent communication and people management skills. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about contributing to a modern, growing clinic and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care. Key responsibilities and skills

-        Greet and prepare patients for scheduled dental appointments

-        Provide assistance to the dental operator

-        Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilise instruments

-        Provide administrative support

-        Manage incoming calls and emails

-        Maintenance and re-stock of dental and office supplies

-        Schedule appointments and manage all new and existing patient enquires

-        Prepare documented treatment plans for patients

-        Prepare accounts and collect payments

-        Ability to work independently

-        Well organised

-        Strong ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly

-        Great time management skills

Requirements

-        Formal qualifications are not required (can provide all training on the job)

-        Reception experience is an advantage, but not essential

-        Opportunities to undertake a Certificate in Dental Assisting or other relevant training may be supported
