About the role

Link 2 Solutions is seeking passionate and dedicated 1st, 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Apprentices to join our growing team. This is an exciting fulltime opportunity for individuals looking to start or develop their career in the electrical trades with an established business that prides itself on its culture and safety standards. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience and practical knowledge whilst working towards your electrical qualification. This role is fundamental to developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople and offers a genuine pathway to becoming a qualified electrician.

About the Work

Link 2 Solutions offers varied work in the electrical industry including general electrical and renewable installations. We are currently installing solar solutions for some of the largest new home builders in the state and also install a high volume of commercial EV charging solutions. We are looking for people in the West and Northern suburbs of Melbourne to assist with delivering new home solar installations. The new build solar work is clean and safe. Opportunities to work in different electrical installations is also available.

Key responsibilities

Assisting qualified electricians with the installation of new home builders solar and commercial EV charger installations.

• Learning and applying safe working practices and electrical codes and standards on job sites

• Preparing work areas, organising tools and materials needed for electrical tasks

• Installing and testing electrical wiring, solar panels, inverters, batteries and EV Chargers

• Keeping detailed records of work completed and materials used

• Attending formal training and educational components of the apprenticeship programme

• Contributing to a safe and professional working environment across all job sites

What we're looking for

• Year 12 VCE pass preferred but not essential

• Certificate II apprentice prestart qualification preferred but not essential

• A keen interest in the electrical trades and a willingness to learn

• Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety practices

• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

• Reliability and punctuality with a positive work ethic

• Manual dexterity and problem-solving abilities

• A valid driver's licence is desirable

• Current or willingness to obtain a White Card (general construction induction) and PPE requirements
