Glen Innes Hospital is looking for a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to support our growing workforce, strengthen clinical capability and help create a culture where staff feel confident, supported and connected from day one.
Located in the heart of the New England region, Glen Innes Hospital is a 24-bed Level 3 rural hospital providing emergency, medical, obstetric and day surgery services. With a $50 million Emergency Department redevelopment underway, there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.
About The Role
Reporting to the Health Service Manager, you will be a key part of building capability across the hospital. You will:
Lead orientation, induction and onboarding for new staffDeliver mandatory training and clinical skills assessmentsProvide engaging education across diverse clinical environmentsSupport staff transitioning into rural and regional healthcareDevelop and deliver education aligned with LHD prioritiesBuild strong relationships across clinical teams and health servicesContribute to staff confidence, development and retention
From Basic Life Support and infection control to clinical skills and mandatory training, your work will have a direct impact on the safety and confidence of our workforce.
About You
You’re a Registered Nurse who loves to teach, mentor and bring out the best in others. You’ll be confident engaging with staff at all levels and able to tailor your approach across a diverse rural healthcare environment.
You’ll Bring
Current AHPRA registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Registered Nurse Relevant postgraduate clinical or education qualifications, such as a Graduate CertificateCertificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalentExperience delivering education or Train the Trainer programs, including Basic Life SupportStrong communication, facilitation and organisational skillsUnderstanding of SDPR and mandatory training requirementsEssential: AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and hold relevant clinical or education post registration qualificationsEssential: Current Workplace Training and Assessment Cert IV or willing to work towards
