Centre Director

Amy Hurd Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead our community focused service. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated early childhood professional to step into a well loved centre with strong values, a supportive team, and a commitment to high quality education and care.

About the Role

The Centre Director and Nominated Supervisor will oversee daily operations, lead and mentor educators, ensure compliance with NQF/NQS requirements, and build strong relationships with families, staff, and the wider community. You will champion a positive workplace culture and uphold the centre’s vision for safe, nurturing, and meaningful learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and inspire a team of educators

• Ensure regulatory compliance, documentation, and reporting

• Maintain high standards of safety, supervision, and wellbeing

• Build strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders

• Manage enrolments, staffing, rosters, and centre administration

• Drive continuous improvement and uphold quality practices

About You

• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education

• Previous leadership experience in an early learning setting

• Strong understanding of NQF, NQS, and regulatory requirements

• Excellent communication, organisational, and people management skills

• A collaborative, warm, and professional leadership style
