Job Title: Full-Time Chef

Location: Subiaco WA

Salary: AUD 75,000- AUD 85,000

Full Time Position; Approximately 38 hours per week.

We are currently seeking a skilled Chef to join our dynamic team at Subiaco, WA. The ideal candidate will have experience in the culinary industry and possess a passion for delivering delicious and high-quality dishes. This role involves a range of responsibilities centered around food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food

• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies

• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

• Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff

• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

• Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations

• Select and train staff

• Freeze and preserve foods

Qualifications and Skills:

• A minimum of one years of culinary experience

• Thorough understanding of health and safety standards in the kitchen, including food handling and sanitation practices

• Proficient in culinary techniques and adept in operating kitchen equipment and tools

• Meticulous in food preparation and presentation, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality dishes

• Capable of interpreting recipes and menu plans accurately and creatively

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented kitchen environment

• Good physical stamina, capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen and standing for long hours
