An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Clinical Support Officer (CSO) to join our team. In this role, you will provide timely and accurate administrative and transactional support to clinicians and nursing staff, contributing to the efficient delivery of patient-centred care. Working within a busy healthcare environment, you will play a key role in supporting ward operations and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Provide efficient administrative and clerical support to the ward/unit team. Manage patient information, records, and data entry with a high level of accuracy. Coordinate communication between patients, families, clinicians, and other stakeholders Support the day-to-day operational requirements of the ward/unit. Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and customer-focused administration professional with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. They will thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrate initiative in managing competing priorities, and work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff to support the delivery of efficient and high-quality patient care.
Proven administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines in a busy environment. High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling patient information and records. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent.This role requires demonstrated experience using word processing, spreadsheets, and hospital databases. Can you describe your previous administrative experience and provide examples of how you have used these programs and performed administrative duties to support a busy workplace?This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including accurate spelling, strong comprehension, and the ability to communicate confidently and courteously with people at all levels. Can you provide an example of a time when you demonstrated these skills in the workplace?The role supports the Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager and clinical team in a busy ward environment. Can you provide an example of how you maintained efficiency and organisation during a period of high workload or unexpected change?
